Please find attached a letter that contains a list of useful websites to access with your child whilst they are learning at home.

Most of these links come with helpful advice to help you navigate the websites themselves and the educational topics.

  • Uncategorised Comments Off on Times Tables Rockstars

Last week our class were given login details to ‘Times Tables Rockstars’. This is a great website that will help the children with multiplication and division facts. It can also be downloaded free of charge as an app.

  • Uncategorised Comments Off on Evacuee Day

Today we learnt all about what it would have been like to be an evacuee.

We bid farewell to our parents and boarded a train to the Lake District, where Mrs Murphy (the billeting officer) introduced us to our host families.

We learnt all about our new families and how different life would be. We also wrote letters home to our families which we posted at the end of the day.

We celebrated the end of the war with a VE day party, singing songs and enjoying sandwiches and jam tarts.

  • Uncategorised Comments Off on WORLD BOOK DAY

We had a lovely day on World Book Day (WBD) – we ‘snuggled up with a good book’ and learned all about what WBD is and then we played 2 different quiz’s to test our knowledge on our favourite books.

This is an example of the quiz that we took part in.

  • Uncategorised Comments Off on MAD SCIENCE

We loved every second of our Mad Science day today! We enjoyed a whole year group master class about states of matter and air compression. Our mad scientist launched a air rocket across the room. We then investigated a crime scene and had to work out who had committed the scientific crime through the analysis of different finger prints.

It was a great day all around.

As part of out Animal Vs Human topic, we have been learning all about the digestive system. Today we practically investigated the digestive system and its functions through a very messy class investigation.
