• Uncategorised Comments Off on World Book Day – Maths

On World Book Day we read The Viewer by Shaun Tan. We used this in Maths to learn about the radius, diameter and circumference of a circle. We used a compass to draw our own version of The Viewer and used mathematical symbols and how maths is used in everyday life to decorate our viewer – we even included Roman Numerals in a pattern for our partner to work out using algebra.

During the day we also looked at a range of books with a mathematical theme to inspire us in writing our own book for our buddies which we read to them the following day.
