• This week in Nursery we have taken part in World Nursery Rhyme week. We completed the Rhyme A Day Challenge.

    Monday – 5 Currant Buns

The children enjoyed counting with real currant buns.  At snack time we tried a currant bun to see what it tasted like.

    Tuesday – Humpty Dumpty

The children used positional language to place Humpty Dumpty  On the wall, behind the wall, in front of the wall and under the wall.

Wednesday – A Sailor Went to Sea

The children used musical instruments. We sang A Sailor Went to Sea, every time we said the word sea or see we had to play our musical instrument to the beat. The children also enjoyed making a boat. We raced the boats and talked about if they would float or sink.

    Thursday – I’m a Little Teapot

Nursery smelt amazing today! We had tea leaves and scented tea bags to explore with. We used lots of different language today. We also got to have a cup of tea and a piece of toast yummy!

Friday – Round and Round the Garden.

We have been developing our language skills today. Teddy brought his special garden to nursery for us to play in.
