We had a special visitor in school during Judaism week – Eric Cohen came to tell us all about the Jewish faith. We had a whole school assembly in the morning, then Eric worked with different key stages to tell us all about different aspects of the faith. We got to learn some songs and some year groups were lucky enough to try some kosher foods. We had lots of fun and learnt a lot!

This week, the whole school have been looking at another faith: Judasim. Year 4 children were given the opportunity to visit the Manchester Jewish Museum which is a synagogue.

The children learnt all about the synagogue and the story of Passover. Rabbi Tony Walker helped them to understand more about the Jewish faith. This was a great experience for the children.

Members of the Parish Wednesday Club were invited into school to celebrate Harvest. Year 3 and Year 5 pupils sang and shared prayers, then Year 6 served tea and biscuits before it was time to put eyes down to a game of bingo.

We would like to thank our generous parents and carers for donating fruit and other food items to both the Wednesday Club and the St Helens Food Bank.

The annual celebration was once again a great success. Click the link below to take a look at a report of the event in the St Helens Star newspaper.

On Friday 2nd October, our whole school gathered for a mass at our church, St.Mary Immaculate, to celebrate the start of a new school year. Each class prepared banners and presented their class cross to be blessed. The juniors led the readings, reflections and bidding prayers.
