Once again, we had a wonderful turn out for our Easter Stay and Pray. It is a wonderful time to celebrate and pray together before we break up for the holidays. Thank you for your continued support and we wish you a very happy Easter break. Please don’t forget to look at your child’s class page for photographs of everything they have been up to during Holy Week!
The Shine group have beautifully decorated donation boxes that have now been distributed to all classes. They are kept on our focus for worship tables so that children can regularly donate and show their support of such an amazing cause.
A massive thank you to all who supported the Good Shepherd Appeal on the run up to the Easter Holidays.
We were very lucky to have a visit from CAFOD representatives who came in to work with us. We looked at the letter Pope Francis wrote to us about the importance of taking care of our common home – our Earth! We watched a video explaining all about the meaning behind Laudato Si and what we can all do to help take care of our precious home.
Take a look for yourself and how you can help us to keep our Earth happy and healthy for future generations.
We have celebrated our third Spirituality Day this year: a day where children were given opportunities to pray in different ways. The children moved around the school to visit all the different prayer spaces that had been set up. Activities this year included: praise party, tasty prayers, prayer posters, prayer flags, prayer cairns, prayer bracelets, lego prayers, Fair Trade Workshop, Psalm 23, guided meditation, sharing a Passover meal, Mandala prayers, Bubble Wrap prayers, illustrated compassion, spoon prayers and Adoremus – praying in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
